The park is known for Ridley Turtles, Shrimps, Sponges, Eels, Green Sea Urchin and Dolphins among many others. The Velavadar National Park was established in 1969 and is famous for its Blackbuck population. The Little Rann of Kutch was set up in 1973 and is famous for the Indian Wild Ass, Wolf and Desert Cat.
